1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Some sites also use similar technologies (local storage) with a comparable purpose.
2. Cookies we use
fondear.org does not set non-essential cookies before you consent. Our audience analytics run on Plausible Community Edition, self-hosted, which is cookieless by design: it does not use any browser storage and does not track you individually, so it is classified as "strictly necessary" technical measurement and does not require consent (Art. 22.2 LSSI, exemption for essential/statistical technical cookies not applicable here since no cookie is set at all).
If in the future we enable a cookie-based analytics tool (e.g. GA4 with Consent Mode), it will only load after you accept it in the cookie banner, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
3. Your consent choice: stored locally, not in a cookie
When you accept or reject non-essential technologies in the banner, that choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key fnd_consent — not in a cookie. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings, or re-open the cookie preferences using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer.
4. Essential technical cookies
The site may set a session cookie and a CSRF protection cookie strictly required for the site to function securely (e.g. submitting forms). These are exempt from consent under Art. 22.2 LSSI as they are strictly necessary for the service you requested.
5. How to manage or withdraw consent
Use the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer to reopen the banner at any time and change your choice.
